It is so easy for this time of year to come and go without giving too much thought. It’s sad to say, but it seems as each year passes, the joy and excitement of the holidays fades as we become busy with obligations, low energy, or even minimal joy. In this blog post, we’d like to share our encouragement with you on how to truly have the perfect holiday and enjoy what truly matters.

Find a Reason to Celebrate

Each day, find at least one way to celebrate the holidays. For believers, an excellent way to do this is through the celebration of Advent. You may also enjoy doing this through attending local holiday gatherings like tree lightings, caroling, services, our outdoor exploration. One day, it may be as simple as making some Pillsbury Christmas Sugar cookies or watching your favorite Christmas film.

Join In with Others

When you come alongside loved ones during the holidays, something really special occurs. Celebrating with family and friends during the holidays warms your spirit, ignites a new sense of purpose, and creates memories at the same time. Don’t let the holidays pass you by without celebrating it alongside your community. We know you will be glad you did!

Remember the Reason for the Season

Our goal in this post is not to make your holidays busier, but more intentional. Alongside the fun festivities this month brings, we encourage you to step back and remember often the reason for the season which is the coming of our Savior Jesus to Bethlehem, many years ago. His arrival was both an expected and unexpected one, and what an example He sets for us to be intentional with our time here on earth.

We wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! If you’d like to get in touch with us before the end of the year, fill out our Contact Form here or give us a call at 616-377-7443.
