At SW Builders, we love home construction projects. It is always a treat to hear from our customers about their dreams, goals, and needs for their new home or project, and how we can work together to make that a reality.

We construct our homes with high-quality materials and craftsmanship, so that your home can be enjoyed for generations to come. When it comes to home construction, we encourage you to ask these three important questions.

#1- What do my family and day-to-day needs look like?

This is a critical question we ask our customers when discussing an upcoming home build or renovation. If we were to jump in to budget and style and timeline with missing this question, we would miss the whole point of the project entirely. When we step back and truly see what a particular family’s needs are, and how they practically use their home, we are able to design the home to function optimally for the family instead of just looking pretty on the outside but being difficult to navigate on the inside in day-to-day life.

#2- How long would you anticipate living here?

This question may seem odd; however, it is very helpful as we customize your home. When we know how long our customer plans to stay at the residence, it gives us an idea of whether new seasons in this home may become an issue. For example, if a customer in their 40s says they want to stay through grandparenting and retirement years, we would want to consider accessibility for space and ease. If we are building a home for a young couple who plans to have 12 kids there, we would want to plan some spaces accordingly for the extra family members.

#3- What are you top 3 goals for the project?

When we understand our customers’ priorities and goals, we are able to effectively execute their project. If we simply went from A to B to C, we could miss what our customer truly needs. When you know the end goals, you have a built-in road map on how to get there.
