It’s hard to believe the Christmas season is already upon us. With that being said, it comes to no surprise how quickly the season can pass by without much thought. We would like to recommend 3 things to do this Christmas as you prepare to celebrate Christ’s birth with your loved ones.
Participate in Advent / Countdown
Our first recommendation is to participate in advent or a countdown towards Christmas. There’s significance, intention, and joy that comes with preparing our family’s hearts for the celebration of the holiday. Find an Advent book to read or countdown calender to use each day. Use this as a time to come together as a family and enjoy one another’s company and pause and remember the reason for the season.
Spend Some Time Outside
Our second (and maybe slightly surprising) recomendation is to intentionally spend some time outside. Often as the weather gets cooler, we become comfortable inside and get limited fresh air. This Christmas season, we encourage you to find a unique holiday event that is outside or even simply to enjoy a local nature trail after a nice snow fall.
Host a Christmas Movie Night
One of our favorite ways to ring in the holiday season is to watch a good holiday classic with family and friends. Consider hosting a Christmas movie and invite those you love! Make a simple dessert and grab the cozy blankets as you make memories and enjoy a relaxed evening together.
